Creating Access

Establishment of the Lwongon Medical Clinic

In Spring of 2024 we helped to fund and organize a medical clinic in a very underserved region of the Bukwo District.

Well off the main road, several villages in this Eastern district have become isolated – one is only accessible by foot or bike due to a washed-out road. That, coupled with other reasons makes this is an incredibly underserved region with limited access to adequate healthcare especially women’s health. By establishing this clinic, we are making a step towards better healthcare and health education for the villagers in this community.

This project is in its early stages - but everything little thing counts. The clinic can provide basic antenatal care and education, treatment of common infectious processes, and assistance with transport for those who need a higher level of care.
