Support Medical Education
We want to leave the communities we work in with lasting and sustainable resources. Defining the problems alongside our medical colleagues helps us to provide training that will save lives.
Help equip our team with everything they need to make a difference. We want to be prepared with quality training aids and materials to provide high-quality training that will have an impact on the community.
Improving Medical Equipment
The providers in the Kapchorwa District are working in a resource limited setting and every chance to outfit them with an updated tool or resource will take pressure off the providers and allow for improvements in care to take place. We have been able to provide surgical equipment, airway supplies, and testing equipment - but we want to be able to provide much more than that. Our decisions are made jointly with our African colleagues based on sustainability and need. Help us to equip the facilities we support with modern, safer equipment.
Support the Mission Trip
July of 2024 will mark our third year for our annual Mission Trip. Once again we will get the amazing opportunity to help solve healthcare problems in the rural Kapchorwa District.
This year our team will consist of US Medical Students and seasoned Emergency Medicine providers.
Not only will we be bringing much needed medical supplies to our clinical partners, we will also be hosting training and outreach events. This year we will also be providing medical students with a career-changing experience as they care for patients alongside our Ugandan clinical partners.
Can you contribute to support this joint effort to improve healthcare quality and access for hundreds of people?
Bringing Clean Water to a Rural Clinic
Through donations we have been able to complete the installation of clean water into the Kaserem Christian Medical Clinic. For years this place survived by hand carrying well-water into the clinic. This water could often be contaminated.
Under the supervision of a quality engineer, a water storage tank has been connected into the nearby national waterline. From there the water runs to each of the buildings. It runs through a solar heater and in one area a UV filter -ensuring that it is potable. There is a shower as well. Finally, a septic tank was constructed and a modern commode installed.
Clean water is essential. This has been our biggest project to date and it means a lot to the staff to see it completed. Through this project and your support, staff morale has risen, and patients will receive better care.
